Without even realising it I was into healing from early age. I was into crystals at early age without really knowing what they were but I just had an enormous attraction to them and asked my mum to buy them for me if I saw them in a shop. I was into to witchy stuff and loved looking around the shops. Astrology and the universe where my next attraction. Reading up on the different cycles and star signs was a must for me at an early.  I never made the connection until later in life.

Before I got into holistic therapy I did a business qualification and had numerous jobs I didn’t enjoy any of it! I was good at it, but I thought I cannot go on for the rest of my working days not doing something I am not passionate about. I thought for a while and decided to go back to college and re train in something. It just came to me one day I wanted to Massage and Reflexology, not really knowing anything about it I began to look for a course, it was all very easy I quit my Job within the NHS and enrolled in the course and their I was a few days later! As I always say I did not choose this career this career chose me!

I instantly knew this was the career for me and my first year flew by, I found doing the treatments became so natural to me and enjoyed practising on my friends and family. Hurray I had found my niche at long last!

I qualified as a Holistic Therapist in 2008 gaining qualifications in Swedish Full Body Massage, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. Right what now let’s find a job within the field!

No it wasn’t as simple as that. I knew I didn’t want to work in a Spa or Beauty Salon, I wanted to work in the field where I actually made difference in people’s day to day life as I know how effective these treatments can be. More in a healing environment

I found a space to rent to within the Healing Touch Academy and went to be a part of their team which is still one of the clinics I work from today. I gained lots of experience from the amazing therapists and it did not take me long to get into my new role as a Holistic Therapist. Alongside 2 other jobs I started to build my clientele. I did lots of offers, events and worked my arse off! I gained more qualifications In Indian Head and Hopi Ear Candling I was well on the way!

I decided to quit one of my jobs and really go for it, It paid off and I was soon learning more advanced learning in Deep Tissue Massage, Advanced Massage, Remedial Massage, Trigger Point and Sports Injuries just to name a few! The amount of training days and workshops I have attended is unreal. I invested so much time into this role as I knew I got so much knowledge and enjoyment from learning. I was coming into my own as a therapist and had built a steady clientele most of which still see me today!

In between all this I was getting involved with charity events, fund raisers, pamper days and much more. There’s so much I have done I would be here all day If I mention them all!

I had also developed a passion for educating people about Holistic Therapy. To encourage people to take control of their own health and wellbeing. I have ran support groups for conditions such as fibromyalgia, ran workshops, ran youth workshops for organisations such as Base 51 and I have also started going to into schools to educate young people on how to look after their skin.

So what next? Lets do some teaching I thought, so I did just that I gained my teaching qualifications and ran some courses and workshops within the private sector. By this time I had been a Therapist or around 5/6 years I was growing on a business level and on a Therapist’s level.  I was still doing my clinic for the Healing Touch Academy, I had my own regular mobile clients and corporate clients but something was missing, light bulb moment I feel a community Project coming on!

I linked with another Therapist and we became ‘Restore in the Community’. We was a not for profit organisation. Will built this scratch and was soon putting funding bids in with our ideas and our mission to have more healing within in community spaces. We secured funding after long hours of  planning and we began offer our services in community centres and other community settings.  This was a huge success and we carried on for another 3 years. I gained so much insight to what people really need and worked with lots of different people facing a Varity of ailments and illnesses. Im still involved with community projects but on a smaller scale. This is something I was so passionate about sometimes I forgot about my own Health and Wellbeing and my other job roles. The funding dried up and we’ve taken a break to focus on our own businesses but I know we will back in the near future!

.
I started to focus more on my clientele and what more I could offer them, I decided to do a Sports Massage course which has helped so many people so far and enhanced my knowledeg! My clientele has grown so much this year it’s overwhelming, but in a good way! I’m just getting to grips with how busy I am, this is what I’ve worked so hard for. I have won best rated therapist for the 2017/ 2018 which I really proud of. My roots will always be in Holistic Therapy but I am also doing more physical therapy work.

So there you go that’s how I got here, along with working through the night on projects working most weekends! In this field you have to go for it, you have to go out there and get your clients it doesn’t just come to you, but hard work pays off!

I’m still growing as a person and Therapist and feel like I’ve not even scratched the surface yet! Watch this space! I have much more to show you.

I hope your all enjoying the new website!

Love and Light as always, follows your dreams, work hard and don’t take no non sense from no one!
